Do you know that 4 in 10 people in the US have one or more accounts in collection? Most are credit card, followed by medical, housing and installment loans. Is this surprising? NO!! The very nature of social capitalism is biased towards financially-educated and disciplined individuals. 

Case-in-point: The average American is subjected to 6,000 to 10,000 ads per day, all to help you part with your hard-earned money. Think about it for a second; when you listen to the radio, watch the TV, engage in social media, send/receive emails, billboards, bus-huts, etc, etc.. 6-10K ads per day!! How many ads served are relevant to you? Some say as many as 30% are relevant to you personally, or 1.8K to 3K ads per day you will pay attention to because of your interests or immediate needs.

Then you consider big-brother. Yes, the fiscally-responsible public servants that we vote into government and are supposed to look out for our best interests. As of this writing, you owe $94,091.00. The reality of the national debt is well-outside the scope of this rant, but it is real and it is something that every US citizen- young and old, rich and poor- should have some knowledge of. 

My point to all this…. the debt you have/owe today is NOT ENTIRELY YOUR FAULT. Our capitalistic system plays psychological warfare on our needs, wants and desires through the 6-10K ads each day and the government condones the behavior. It’s a system of certain fate, we just don’t know within whom’s lifetime it will unravel. Perhaps it has already started?  

We understand the big picture. On an individual level though, we must all be accountable for our own behavior and actions. This means following through with our commitments and doing to others what you would have done to yourself. Yes, a cliche’ but the honest of God’s truth. You always get what you give- always.
